Stage 1 of 6
Commit
The project is named. The first step feels like an audition.
Framework: Concealed Competence · Classroom of the Elite / Ayanokoji Kiyotaka
You are here if
- You know what you are building but keep 'preparing' to start.
- The first task feels too small to matter, or too important to get wrong.
- You imagine how the finished thing will be judged before it exists.
Your one constraint
Treating the first task as proof of your ability. Stop asking the first step to prove how capable you are.
The moves
- 1Apply the 50/100 rule: the first session only has to reach a passing grade.
- 2Remove the audience. Tell no one what you are building yet.
- 3Shrink the first task until it fits in one 25-minute session.
- 4Book that session on your calendar with a start time, not a deadline.
You move up when: One real work session completed on the project.
